Electrical Apprenticeship Year 3 (003E) Information

This is for Year 3 of the Electrical Apprenticeship Program.
Classes Classes are offered in either Hyflex or Online-Only formats. Please be aware of the format you choose. Online-Only formats DO NOT have designated in-person or Zoom class meetings.

Year 3 is comprised of four 8-week quarters. You do not have to enroll in all quarters at the same time - but you DO have to take them in sequential order. (A-B-C-D).  If you choose to enroll in A now, you can come back and enroll in B later. All quarters must be completed with a passing grade (70%+) before you are eligible to enroll in the next year’s courses.

Year three of the electrical apprenticeship program goes in-depth in the National Electrical Code to learn the proper design of various electrical installations. The student will learn to calculate service and individual loads for home and industry to ensure a safe and functional electrical system. Conductor sizing and protection, raceway fill, temperature issues, voltage drop, and box fill are covered. The student will also learn basic motor control and blueprinting.
