Series : Electrical Apprentice Year 4 Series (A, B, C, & D)

Description: TEACHER LED SERIES. This class is offered in the Hyflex format, meaning the work can be accomplished online with the opportunity to attend weekly classes either In-person or via Zoom.
This is four of four 8-week courses that comprise the Year 4 Electrical Apprentice training. This is offered by Hyflex for large groups and Online for smaller groups. Year four of the electrical apprenticeship program walks through the National Electrical Code in its entirety. In addition, the course reviews years 1, 2, and 3 content. Regular random code calculations and code practice exercises are foundational and prepare the student for state journeyman testing.

This series is four of four 8-week courses that comprise the Year 3 Electrical Apprentice training. Year three of the electrical apprenticeship program goes in-depth into the National Electrical Code to learn the proper design of various electrical installations. The student will learn to calculate service and individual loads for home and industry to ensure a safe and functional electrical system. Conductor sizing and protection, raceway fill, temperature issues, voltage drop, and box fill are covered. The student will also learn basic motor control and blueprint reading.

Year two of the electrical apprenticeship program covers AC theory including resistance, inductance, and capacitance. Circuit calculations are covered in both series and parallel. The student will learn 3-phase power, transformers, motor operation, grounding, and calculating loads for sizing installations. These include circuit design for motors and transformers according to the National Electrical Code.

Students must be able to pass a background check and drug screen test. If you have a felony or certain misdemeanors on your record, you may not be assigned to a clinical site. Description: This course is self-paced and taught online by a CWI Instructor. Assistance with Medications (AWM) online is designed for students who are currently employed by a facility. It cannot be completed without your employer’s assistance. A required skills check-off will be completed by a Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Pharmacist in the facility where you are employed.

A computer with internet access is required. Once you have been registered, you will get an email with your username, password, and instructions on how to access your Blackboard account. You MUST be able to log in to your Blackboard account prior to starting the course.
