Electrical Apprentice Year 1: Course A; This is one of four 8-week courses that comprise the Year 1 Electrical Apprentice training. Year one of the electrical apprenticeship program covers DC theory, calculating electrical values using Ohm's Law as applied to series, parallel, and combination circuits and electrical equipment. Electrical meters and their use are covered, as well as alternative energy sources. In addition, the student will do an overview of the entire National Electrical Code and learn proper application of various wiring methods as well as conductor properties, sizing, and protection.
