JTS-MCG is experiencing rapid growth and requires a skilled welding workforce to meet rising production demands. To support this expansion, the College of Western Idaho (CWI) will provide JTS-MCG employees with a customized welding training program beginning summer 2026. The objective of this initiative is to provide training that consists of theory and hands-on instruction that will equip JTS-MCG employees with skills and knowledge that align with JTS-MCG’s standards, procedures, and expectations.
CWI will deliver in-person training at the Micron Education Center (5725 E. Franklin Road, Nampa, ID 83687) to a cohort of JTS-MCG employees. This cohort of employees will complete 30 hours of welding theory and lab instruction. This group will meet for approximately 2-3 hours daily throughout the week until the 30 hours of training are completed. The cohort will include a minimum of five (5) and a maximum of twelve (12) participants in this welding training group.
